one of my favorite memories of my Uncle Curtis is when he was dating Sharon. He took me with him one night when he was going to visit her. He pulled over to the side of the road and let me sit on his lap. while he did all of the "footwork" with the gas and brake pedals, he let me steer the steering wheel. He gave me my first "driving experience". I thought he was so cool after that. One of the many other memories that stands out in my mind is when i would stop in at the carwash in town. I would be busy vaccuming my car, not knowing that he spotted me while he was "cruzin" by and stopped. He then would honk his horn. As I was trying to get back into the skin that he scared me out of, he would just laugh and laugh. Although he could come across with a very "gruff exterior", he also had a "soft, caring interior". I love him and will miss seeing him stop in at Paw and Granny's to eat dinner with us or just sit for awhile, then without saying a word, get up and go on home. Those memories of him make me smile.

I remember when Daddy use to tell Hunter he would have to take care of him when he would get sick, old and all that stuff. Then one day Daddy had to go to the hospital to have his gallbladder removed. Hunter would make me go everyday so that he could help paw up , get him food and drinks, and anything daddy would ask him to do Hunter made sure he done his best to do what he asked. Most of my memories is of daddy and hunter. Another one and this will be my last...one summer sitting on daddy porch Hunter came chasing some ducks and there was this really big and ugly one. It had the most ugly beak we had ever seen. Daddy what kind of duck was it and Hunter said in a real serious voice...well paw its a big Joe of course. Every time I see one of those ugly ducks I think of Daddy and Hunter sitting on the porch... there was more to the duck story but i didnt want to say it wrong.   Man things are gonna be real different...

I have so many memories of Daddy. To pick just one....i could never do it.

One of my oldest memories is of me and him taking his new truck up to Long Pole 4X4.  He had cleaned on it all day and I wanted to go in the mountains so he took me. We ended up getting stuck.  His new truck was covered in mud. I have pictures somewhere??  We ended up going home and cleaning it all over again.

I cannot count the times I spent helping Daddy clean a truck.  He would fuss at me for not doing it just right. Especially when he had the blue one.

So many things I remember.....until next time....

About a week before his accident I joined him and Hunter at McDonalds. He had already ordered his food and was sitting at a table waiting for me, I ordered and I waited for a long time for my food and like Curtis I got a little impatient and told the counter girl to give my money back and I would go to Hardees and get me something to eat. I will never for get the laugh that Curtis got from me pulling one of his type of actions. Just one of the many memories.
